GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Anyone interested in the many applications of solar power is invited to attend the Solar Power Day organised by the Aberdeen Farmers’, Wool and Mohair Growers’ Association on Wednesday, 3 October.
Although aimed primarily at the farming community, members of the public who are interested in this source of renewable energy will be most welcome to attend.
The stands, which will be out in the open, will be manned by representatives of various businesses involved in the solar power industry, providing information on their products and services.
All aspects of solar power, such as water pumps, household usage, power generating, water heating and security, will be covered.
Exhibitors will give a demonstration of their products, and provide a short introduction to their use. Most of the exhibitors are either local businesses or from George at this stage, and service this area regularly.
The event will be held on the farm Skietfontein, about 40km from Aberdeen on the way to Klipplaat, and will start at 10:00.
There are still openings for more stands, at a cost of R900, and anyone interested can contact Hantie Marx on Whatsapp 082 572 1432 or e-mail dowefontein@telkomsa.net.
