GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) is currently experiencing critical blood supply shortages.
Graaff-Reinet locals are encouraged to donate blood at Te Watersaal on Monday 12 October between 14:00 to 18:00.
“Covid-19 restrictions have severely limited our ability to collect adequate blood stocks, particularly because we are not able to access schools, colleges and corporate for blood drives,” explained Donor Relations Practitioner, Zikhona Ruiters.
“As a result, our blood stocks have dropped significantly.”
According to Ruiters, SANBS hopes that donors who are due for donation will find time to donate blood. Covid-19 protocols will be in place.
