GRAAFF-REINET NEWS & VIDEO - The Camdeboo Veterinary Clinic in Graaff-Reinet did their bit for the fury friends in their community on 25 February, when they sterilised 32 pets.
Ten cats and 22 dogs underwent procedures on the day, which marked World Spay Day.
Three of the clinic's veterinarians, Drs Mackie Hobson, Roaul Strydom and Natasja Burger, together with personnel, Luwayne Fletcher, Chantel Smit, Carla Bosman, Carla de Jager and Izak Bok, all helped to make a success of the spayathon at the clinic.
Practice Manager Carla Bosman said the spayathon was a once-off day of sterilisation, where half the pets were sterilised for free.
The rest were made possible with a financial donation by Montego Pet Nutrition and Camdeboo Veterinary Clinic, who did the procedure at welfare rates. Montego Pet Nutrition also sponsored 30 bags of pet food, making sure each pet goes home to many healthy meals.
