Malicious damage to property
On 26 June a suspect arrived at the complainant's house and demanded cigarettes.
The complainant then removed the suspect from his residence as he did not want a confrontation with the suspect. The suspect returned and threw a brick which struck the complainant's car.
Assault with the purpose to inflict bodily harm
At Thembalesizwe a complainant went to a friend's residence for the night. The 29-year old male started to assault the complainant.
Theft general
Suspects went to visit the complainant's workshop in Cathcart Street.
They took a substantial amount of cash from the money box.
They were identified through video footage.
Graaff-Reinet
Burglaries
The 60-year-old male complainant from Ebongweni Street, Umasizhke, reported that a witness saw a suspect removing a fridge from the complainants' address and reported it to the complainant.
The suspect gained entry to the residence by damaging the front door.
A woman (47) reported that she left her home in Louw Weppener Street on 28 June at 5.30am. Upon her return, she found that her residence had been broken into and that clothing and bedding worth R1 000 was stolen.
Theft out of a vehicle
A white Toyota Hilux bakkie was parked next to a residence.
The next day, the owner found that the bakkie's door was forced open. Tools to the value of R4 000 were stolen.
Theft
A patient at the Clinic Day Care Hospital reported she left the clinic in order on 14 June.
Upon her return on 18 June, she found that copper wire was stolen from the generator.
Five stock theft cases
At Uitkyk farm, Nieu Bethesda, two merino sheep worth R3 000 were stolen.
Four sheep worth R10 000 were injured or slaughtered on a second Nieu Bethesda farm.
At Dalveen Farm, Graaff Reinet, 25 black Drakensberg and Nguni cows worth R216 000 were stolen.
Three merino sheep worth R6 000 were also stolen from a farm in Graaff-Reinet.
At Roodeblom Farm, Graaff Reinet, a suspect (47) was found stealing sheep and was arrested. It is unclear if these crimes are connected.
