GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - As has become a tradition, Karoo Catch again eagerly participated in Mandela Day which was celebrated this past Wednesday, 18 July.
As part of the Nelson Mandela centenary celebrations, Karoo Catch's staff and management this year rallied in aid of underprivileged school girls.
Their aim was to collect as many sanitary pads as possible for local girls who miss school because they cannot afford basic sanitary products.
Through this initiative, Karoo Catch celebrated Madiba’s legacy by helping those less fortunate.
The total sanitary products collected during this Mandela Day drive amounted to 183 packs in total which were all donated to Thembalesizwe Primary School in Graaff-Reinet during a special ceremony on Mandela Day.
The school and the pupils were thankful for the donations and said that it will make a difference in the lives of many girls attending their school.
