Housebreaking suspect arrested and stolen firearm recovered

GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - A 28-year-old suspect has been arrested after a firearm was stolen during a housebreaking on Friday 11 November and the stolen firearm and rounds of ammunition recovered.

According to provincial police spokesperson WO Majola Nkohli, Graaff-Reinet Zone1 Operational command centre (OCC) members were requested to assist in the search for the stolen firearm on Monday 14 November. 

They helped Graaff-Reinet crime information gathering members to execute a search and seizure warrant at the premises of an alleged drug dealer, and gather information on the possible suspect and the stolen firearm.
