HOFMEYR NEWS & VIDEO - Before the meeting in the Chris Hani Community Hall in Eluxolweni, Hofmeyr today, Tuesday 27 December, local youth joined hands believing that they could intervene.
Two videos are doing the rounds on Social media.
Two groups were formed. One group went to the Razzmatazz Tavern where the tragedy took place on the 25th and voiced their heartache. The second group went to the Blue Baboon tavern in Hofmeyr where sad young people formed small groups till the doors were closed.
"We know we are not safe!", voiced one teenager her fears.

The two groups believed that by showing their sadness verbally and in unity, they might be able to change the world around them to be a safer and more secure place to grow up in.
Hofmeyr and surrounding communities sadly have no healthy entertainment for young people.
Both Taverns are currently closed.
This group visited the site of the Razzmatazz tavern, which is situated close to a creché in Twinsville.
