HOFMEYR NEWS - Hofmeyr has of late experienced an influx of churches, and these churches organised an induction function on Sunday 14 May.
The reason for this function was to discuss the different ways in which the churches could join hands and extend a hand of friendship to the community.
They agreed to address the crime and drug problems in Hofmeyr as one.
Their main purpose will be to spread the word of God and keep the community and youth from going to taverns on Sundays.
They want to be involved in workshops and training sessions to bring the community together and they also want to work amongst the many children who do not attend school, but rather join gangs.
