GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Graaff-Reinet Golf club enjoyed a very successful golf day in aid of UCC Parsonage on Saturday. A small but committed field of 32 players braved the heat and enjoyed a well-organised day.
The golfer who played best on the day was Rowan George who scored 38 Stableford points to count out a fast-finishing Godwin Bosch and Jacques Wagener.
Hadley Jourie and Bjorn Isaacs were on 35 points with Johndre Ludick and Derek Helm bracketed on 34 points. The players enjoyed a good meal prepared by the church ladies after they had selected their rewards from a very impressive prize table.

The 2024 edition of Proudfoot is four weeks away and the club is expecting a good field to come from all over the country to participate in the GRT golf club's major fundraiser.
The course is looking good, and a little rain will give good colour to the fairways. The afternoon field is almost full, but place can be found for more golfers.

This weekend will be played as an individual Stableford round while in two weeks the popular Kairos two-ball scramble will be played.
