GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Five people were injured in a head-on collision between a white Suzuki Swift and a silver Volkswagen Polo on the N9 between Aberdeen and Graaff-Reinet this morning (19 February).
Captain Bradley Rawlinson of the Graaff-Reinet Police said the accident occurred at 07:35 about 5km outside Aberdeen.
Four people (all in their 20s) sustained moderate injuries in the crash, while a 60-year old was seriously injured.
The injured were all transported to the Midland hospital in Graaff-Reinet.
It has since been confirmed by Craig Hamilton from Relay EMS, that one of their ambulances transported a patient with a broken femur from the Midland Hospital to St Georges Hospital in Port Elizabeth for surgery.
In another accident on the N9 between Middelburg and Graaff-Reinet last night at 20:30, a white Quantum taxi collided with a kudu 10 kilometers outside Graaff-Reinet. No one was injured.
