GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Not every fire department can come up with the funding to build a new fire station when the need arises.
But if there is a need, one can always come up with a plan – repurpose an existing building.
To this end Fire Department head of Beyers Naude Local Municipality, Berandien Benito, together with his firemen, started to renovate the separate building at the Traffic Department (7 Somerset Street, Graaff-Reinet).
Benito said using this building will assist in improving service delivery, offering training, testing equipment and provide effective emergency response services during emergency situations.
