KAROO NEWS - Cookhouse police are searching for a missing elderly woman, who was last seen crossing the Great Fish River between Aloma and Kommetjieshoek farms, Cookhouse, on 25 August.
According to Capt Bradley Rawlinson, spokesperson of the Graaff-Reinet SAPS, it is alleged that Katriena Boesak (62) accompanied a five-year-old child across the river at around 10am. “The child is not missing,” Rawlinson confirmed to the Advertiser.
Cookhouse SAPS were joined in their search by WO Swartz from the Police Search and Rescue Unit in Cradock on Tuesday. Police divers from Port Elizabeth will join the search party today (26 August).
According to the police report, Boesak is light in complexion. She was wearing a red T-shirt, brown skirt and pink sandals.
