ABERDEEN NEWS - At the request of the Aberdeen Hospital, teams of health workers and volunteers are visiting every household in Aberdeen town, Lotusville and Thembalesizwe to screen residents for the coronavirus.
An infra-red thermometer is used to check temperatures, so there is no physical contact, and the volunteer will record the answers to the questions.
This can all be done at the gate or the door, and the screeners should not enter houses.
All those involved in the screening have permits, stamped by the Aberdeen Hospital. “Please respond positively to this effort, as it is for your own safety and health,” said hospital board member Dick van Wyk.
