GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Luphawu Foundation is appealing to the public in Graaff-Reinet for donations of small Christmas gifts for the town's underprivileged children.
Suggested donations include Legos, dolls, art sets, rugby balls, soccer balls, tea sets, action figures, board games, coloring books and crayons. Personal items are also needed which include pajamas, body lotion, spray, soaps and hair accessories.
All donations received will be donated to children in need in Graaff-Reinet on the morning of 24 December.
“This is a great opportunity to bring joy to the children of our community,” said Lindi Fula, founder of the Luphawu Foundation.
The Luphawu Foundation was launched in Graaff-Reinet on 16 June, 2017.
According to Fula, the vision of the Foundation is “to help our community tackle difficult health, education, social, economic and welfare issues that would otherwise be left to chance to solve”.
“This organisation has the exclusive aim of uniting our community in Graaff-Reinet and developing innovative ways of creating a better life and opportunities for them,” said an enthusiastic Fula.
