KAROO NEWS - The Colour Fun Walk for Cancer, that took place on 27 October and was organised by the DBNLM to raise money and awareness for the Camdeboo Hospice, raised an impressive sum of R50 000.
Various government departments were invited to join in and have a positive impact in the lives of those affected by cancer.
On 3 November, a small gathering was organised at the Camdeboo Hospice to hand over the proceeds from all the fundraising efforts in the fight against cancer.
Several guest speakers attended, including the mayor of the municipality, Willem Safers, who warmly welcomed the guests and delivered an impactful speech.
The organisers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the stakeholders and participants who contributed to the fundraising effort.
Special thanks were extended to Sassa, the Department of Labour, Camdeboo SANParks, Legal Aid, the police, the Department of Transport, EMC, the Department of Health, the police academy, and the local municipality for their valuable support in this noble cause.
