KAROO NEWS - Cypress Grove residents completed a project to enhance their neighbourhood entrance by putting up a billboard with the neighbourhood's name.
They've previously united during the Covid-19 pandemic to fix potholes in front of their homes and have successfully completed other projects.
These include clearing an area at the river bend, repairing and installing new palisades at the entrance, and putting up an electric fence to address safety concerns and increasing criminal activity.
They plan to close exits and thoroughfares and install security cameras in the future. Ward Councillor Joy Williams was pleased with a recent visit to Cypress Grove and commended the residents for their impressive efforts.
"What the Cypress Grove residents are doing is very impressive, I must say. A big shout from your councillor!"
