GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Support Centre for Land Change (SCLC), an NGO based in George in the Western Cape and Graaff-Reinet in the Eastern Cape, is hosting their 09th annual Rural Women's Platform in Mosselbay this weekend.
About 60 women from both provinces are gathered under the theme "Building Women's Power" with the aim of sharing stories of empowerment and strength, understanding the political aspects of power and enhancing women's capacity to exercise their power.
The event was opened with a candlelight memorial in remembrance of those who struggled for the emancipation of women in the country.
