GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Members of the Iron Hearts Bikers Club in Graaff-Reinet recently got together for a breakfast Run down Church Street to raise awareness for the Camdeboo Hospice.
The bikers were accompanied by the Camdeboo Hospice bus leading the procession from the Engen Garage in Church Street toward the Botanical Gardens where breakfast was served at R50 per person and included a badge. The money was in aid of Camdeboo Hospice.
Marina van Niekerk, the fundraiser for the organisation, told Graaff-Reinet Advertiser the event was well supported. She had a lot of praise for Iron Hearts President, Basjan Mulder, who organised his troops to support this good cause.
"Without their support, this exercise would have been fruitless," she added.

She was also very thankful for all the sponsors who supported the event: main sponsor Drostdy Toyota's Iaan van der Merwe, Suzette Vermeulen (Karoo-Living ), Saun Botha (Bothas Garage), Pierre Els (Merino-slagtery), Henlein Bertrum (Isi Rommel) and Willie van Rensburg from Botanical Gardens who offered their venue for free. These businesses clubbed together to sponsor the breakfast buns and badges.
Marina also praised the staff of the Hospice and the volunteers in the kitchen, Marius van Niekerk, Emma van Gent and Lee Visser, who prepared the breakfast.
