BEDFORD NEWS - Christmas in July is the new birth child of local Benita Blom Kotze and her partner Jacques Müller, owners of De Oude Fabreeck.
This event, which will take place on 29 July, is set for a Royal Castle experience where guests can expect to be welcomed by the ‘Queen of Bedford’ into her dining room, ‘De Oude Palace’.
“This year will be an even greater experience than last year’s event, featuring Simon Shaw with James van der Merwe on the sax,” says Kotze.
“Come and dance the night away with your friends and family in our fabulous factory venue.”

- Time: Doors open at 18:00, show starts at 19:00

New owners and new look for Eagle Hout
The little historic town of Bedford is regarded as an artist's haven and retirement village, and Kotze and Müller recently collaborated and developed their creative vision to expand the old family business, Eagle Hout Padstal and Factory.
To compliment the new look and vision, they renamed it “De Oude Fabreeck”.
De Oude Fabreeck offers the following:
- A Beautiful showroom full interior products
- Hand crafted furniture which is produced by the Eagle Hout team on site
- Restaurant
- Nursery
- Functions and catering
- Market – each first Saturday of the month
- Bedford Half Marathon – held every year in March
