KAROO NEWS - A month-old baby was killed during an alleged fight between his parents last night in Pearston.
SAPS Police Spokesperson, Captain Bradley Rawlinson, said the Pearston police responded to a domestic violence complaint on Loop Street on Sunday 3 November, at 11.40pm.
"After forcing themselves into the residence, the police discovered the lifeless body of a baby boy," Rawlinson said.
Rawlinson added that the 19-year-old mother of the child claims she argued with the 24-year-old father. "She said the father chased her from the house, locked the door and murdered the child."
The father was arrested the same night and charged with murder.
He will appear in court on Tuesday, and an autopsy will be done on the baby.
