Update
GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Graaff-Reinet Police late yesterday (16 July) arrested a 31-year old suspect in the rape case of two Umasizakhe girls, both aged under 10-years.
The arrest follows allegations that the two girls were raped in a house by the suspect known to them on the evening of 13 July.
The suspect appeared in the magistrate court today, 17 July. He will stay in custody while the investigation is ongoing.
The children are receiving counselling and medical treatment.
The police did not want to release any more information on the investigation at this stage.
Police Spokesperson, Captain Bradley Rawlinson said the investigation is at a sensitive stage.
