GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — One man was killed in an accident on Sunday, August 20, on the N9 between Graaff-Reinet and Aberdeen.
A Ford Territory Ghia was travelling from Lady Frere in the former Transkei to Cape Town, when a tyre burst about 10km from Aberdeen.
The driver lost control of the vehicle, which rolled twice before coming to a stop.
One passenger, a 37-year-old man who had been sitting in the back, died at the scene of the accident.
Two other passengers were seriously injured and were taken to Midland Hospital in Graaff-Reinet.
The driver and two other passengers were completely unharmed and walked away without a scratch.
Five of the six people, included the man who died, were members of one family, returning to work in Cape Town.
