GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — The annual Hike & Hobble event in aid of the Camdeboo Hospice is going to take place over the weekend of May 6 and 7, with information about the one-day event being published last week.
For those who would like to make a weekend of it, there will be a 50km walk from the top of the Ouberg to Nieu-Bethesda along the scenic farm routes, with overnight accommodation on Rietpoort farm courtesy of Doug and Liz Stern. The final destination on Sunday is Nieu-Bethesda for lunch.
Hospice would like to invite people from the community to participate in the two-day event. Sponsorship of a minimum of R2 000 per person is required as an entrance fee, and sponsor forms are available exclusively at the Hospice office.
This event is for adults only, and in previous years has only been open to ladies. This year, for the first time in its five-year history, men are also invited to participate, and the organisers would like to challenge the men in the community to take part and see who will become the first man ever to complete this challenge!
