GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — On Friday evening, June 2, the Graaff-Reinet Running Club will be hosting Graaff-Reinet's most electric event of the year, the Neon Street Mile.
First held in 2016, the event proved so popular, the Club decided to make it an annual event.
At this fun event, participants don’t only have the opportunity to run but also to walk or jog a 1.6km route covered in neon accessories and body paint.
The event will start at 6pm in front of Burger Inn in College Road with participants moving down Church Street and into Somerset Street to end at Polka.
The cost to enter is R20 per person. The event is open to Graaff-Reinetters of all ages.
Those participating are encouraged to come dressed in colourful outfits sporting neon glowsticks or apparel.
(Glow merchandise will also be available for purchase at the start of the race.)
