GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — The Drostdy Hotel in Graaff-Reinet, a wholly owned subsidiary of SA College for Tourism, has just been named as one of the top ten hotels in South Africa by the well-known travel advisory service Tripadvisor.
This list is based on reviews from guests, where various aspects of the hotels ranging from location to cleanliness are rated by those who have stayed at the different establishments.
Most of the other hotels on the list are at premier tourist locations such as up-market private game reserves or in the big cities, so the fact that the Drostdy was just voted into the eighth position is a huge feather in their cap, coming above the well-known and iconic Mount Nelson in Cape Town and Beverly Hills at Umhlanga Rocks!
With 80% of staff members of Drostdy hailing from SA College for Tourism in Graaff-Reinet, this is also a huge compliment to the training that they have received locally.
The citation from Tripadvisor reads “ Travelers' Choice awards are the highest honour TripAdvisor can give – meaning your business is truly exceptional. Based on reviews and opinions from millions of travelers, you're in the top 1% of hotels”.
