GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - On Saturday evening, January 14, local firefighters were called to a fire in Plasket Street in Graaff-Reinet.
The crew from the Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality’s Protection Services Department was mobilised and - upon arrival at the scene - found that a parked caravan connected to a Fortuner was ablaze.
Firefighters tackled the fire and ensured that the fire didn’t spread to any of the houses located nearby.
The caravan and Fortuner were destroyed in the blaze, however, no nearby structures were damaged or persons injured. An electricity pole, which was located next to the caravan suffered some damage which caused a power outage in the street.
