GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Runners got together for the 196th parkrun event at 07:00 on 24 February for a nice early morning run on the Mountain Drive gravel road. A total of 58 runners joined in on the run. Angelique Alexander completed her 50th parkrun.
The first five registered runners were:
- Jarrod Gerber - 21:47
- Alfred Malotana - 24:18
- Lappies Labuschagne - 24:59
- Aphelele Vesel - 29:20
- Mfanelo Mkhize - 30:17
The Advertiser apologises for erroneously reporting that the parkrun on 17 February was the 200th event.
The great milestone will actually be reached on 23 March.
"Get that date onto your calendar," reads their Facebook entry. "It will be our 200th parkrun at Mountain Drive. Provided we don't have any cancellations of course.
"We hope to see you all there and once again as per previous milestones, those that can, please bring along a few cupcakes so that we can celebrate as we finish in style."
