KAROO NEWS - A woman and a man were killed in two accidents this weekend, the woman near Cookhouse and the man near Willowmore.
Cookhouse SAPS are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a woman from Gqeberha, formerly Port Elizabeth, was killed in a head on collision with a truck on the N10 road near Cookhouse on Friday 26 February at about 18:20.
According to the truck driver he was travelling towards Gqeberha on the N10 road about 2 km from Middleton when a silver Toyota sedan headed towards his truck in his lane.
The truck driver could not avoid the collision. The female driver of the Toyota died on the scene. The woman who died is Mandisa Dyani, 31.
In the accident outside Willowmore, 43-year-old Dumisane Petros Rawe was killed when the white Toyota Fortuner SUV in which he was a passenger rolled on the N9 on Sunday 28 February at 22:00.
According to another passenger, the 45-year-old driver lost control of the Fortuner.
Rawe's body was taken to Graaff-Reinet mortuary. A case of culpable homicide is under investigation.
