ABERDEEN NEWS - Aberdeen SAPS are investigating a case of culpable homicide after two elderly passengers were killed in a taxi accident on the R61 between Beaufort West and Aberdeen this morning, 11 October.
According to Capt Bradley Rawlinson, spokesperson for the policing district, the vehicle overturned around 45 km outside of Aberdeen at 01:20, after the driver allegedly lost control.
“Two passengers, aged 74 and 87, were declared dead on the scene by EMS personnel,” said Rawlinson. The 38-year-old driver and eight remaining passengers were transported to the Aberdeen Hospital.
