NOUPOORT NEWS - Underprivileged dog and cat owners in Noupoort received a working visit from the Avatar vets team from Johannesburg last week.
The team spent four days in the town, spaying and neutering animals, and giving invaluable medical assistance through Noupoort Animal Care (NAC). This is their third visit this year, made possible by generous sponsorship from Graaff-Reinet's CSI and the Namaqua Dog and Donkey Foundation.
In total, over the four days, 108 dogs and cats were sterilised.
"We really appreciate the compassion with which Avatar vets treat each and every animal that passes through their hands," said Courtney Stassen, founder of NAC.
Some patients and young owners were given a lift home by Courtney Stassen.
