GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Earlier this year, the Grade Six pupils of Union High were taught how to crochet.
Recently, they used their newly acquired skills to crochet beanies for premature babies at Midland Hospital. The group has already donated two batches to the hospital: a total of 101 beanies.
“We were very chuffed to see on our last visit that some of the babies were wearing their beanies,” said Hanli Rose-Innes of the school. “These learners have done a wonderful thing, giving up their time to help a stranger.”
Anyone who would like to join the group, either as a pupil or coach, can contact the school.
