GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - A simultaneous chess tournament (where one player plays multiple games at once) will take place at Union High on Saturday 31 August, against local chess master Ian Kirstein.
One hundred players will have the opportunity to pit their skills against Kirstein’s formidable skills.
The event hopes to raise funds for local learners who will participate in the South African Junior Chess Championship next year.
Anyone is welcome to enter; young or old. An entry fee of R50 secures your spot, and non-participants are welcome to sponsor a board for someone else to play.
