PROPERTY | BUSINESS NEWS - Peace of mind is priceless when it comes to buying property. Professional Property Inspectors (PPI) is an independent association, offering a comprehensive 500 point report on the condition of a property prior to changing ownership. This is in line with the new Property Practitioners Act 22 of 2019.
A comprehensive property defects disclosure document is now mandatory as part of the property transfer for all sale and lease agreements.
PPI assigns a field expert to examine and inspect both residential and commercial property, using the PPI software. All parties are then furnished with an unbiased and independent visual report.
The report includes exterior and interior inspection, as well as an audit of energy and water efficiency. Plumbing and electrical certificates of conformance are examined in terms of by-laws and basic procedures, and references to SANS and NHBRC standards are used on snag lists.
PPI is currently the only South African partner of InterNACHI, the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors.
