NATIONAL NEWS - Telkom says its day-to-day operations have not been heavily affected by the ongoing strike by workers affiliated to the Communication Workers' Union members.
Workers embarked on a strike last week and are demanding an 11 percent wage increase, six months paid maternity leave and better transformation policies.
Telkom's Jacqui O'Sullivan says the company has been able to operate normally in most of its areas despite the strike elevating to a national level.
"Across the board we’re seeing an impact on our customers. There are isolated incidents where customers have been affected."
However, she says the acts of sabotage could lead to customers being affected. Telkom says their network has been tampered with in the past few days.
