Wonderlike skou bring vreugde in Hofmeyr
Shaun Vermaak, 'n merinoboer van Klipplaatsdrift, het 'n driekuns aangeteken en beste wol, beste groep ooie en beste vordering gewen. Vrydagaand het 80 feesgangers heerlik by die skoudans makietie gehou. Saterdag was dit tyd vir die boer- en saalperdskou, die troeteldierskou en die Bielie-Mielie-kompetisie. Elke inskrywing by Mielie-Bielie bestaan uit vyf mieliekoppe waarvan die beoordelaars die pitte tel. Die boer met die hoogste pit-gemiddeld wen, maar punte word afgetrek vir wurms, muf, oop skutblare en vrot plekke. Die kompetisie is deur Braam du Plessis met 960 pitte per kop gewen.
