GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — Union's Art Club visited the Rupert Art Centre in Middle Street last week, to look at tapestries made by Jean Lurcat, a French weaver from the previous century.
The tapestries are about 2m x 3m big, and contain about 600 different colours which were used in the weaving of each tapestry.
The Art Club then paid a visit to the Blue Magnolia Nursery to discuss and experience garden design.
The pupils learnt about combining colours and textures in the garden. The kids then had great fun decorating their own chocolate muffins!
All the club members received a wonderful free plant in a beautiful terracotta pot.
Thanks are extended to Karen Koch Scott and Marli Rautenbach for a wonderful informative afternoon!
