SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - Having successfully launched his latest studio album, Introvertigo in South Africa and Europe since its worldwide release on 6 May, Dan Patlansky is back in South Africa after performing 26 shows over the course of May and June in Germany, Netherlands and the UK.
Patlansky used his personal life experiences as inspiration for the album to ultimately marry good songs with guitar playing, and the album has been received with critical acclaim both in SA and abroad.
He recently received a nomination from the prestigious British Blues Awards for Best 'Overseas Artist'. This adds to his long list of international accolades which includes being voted the fourth best of the Best Rock Guitarists In The World by Total Guitar Magazine in December 2015.
He returns to Europe at the end of August for performances in Germany, Slovakia, Hungary and Denmark. Upon his return, he will be embarking on a nationwide solo acoustic tour in South Africa.
Joining him as a special guest at a few shows on tour, is Dave Ferguson.
Ferguson is best known to South Africans for his solo looping performances where he sings, plays the harmonica and beatboxes, and for his collaborations with the likes of Arno Carstens, Prime Circle, etc. An international blues harmonica player praised for his ability and ingenuity, he has shared the stage with Ian Siegal, Bob Margolin (Muddy Waters) and many more.
