GRAAFF-REINET — Capetonian Maxzell Lerm just finished her first young adult fantasy book to be released in June.
After she matriculated a decade ago she travelled the world for a few years and through a spell of serious health complications discovered her vast love for writing. "Not even the gorgeous Eiffel Tower in Paris could keep me from coming home to our magnificent country," Maxzell declared passionately.
Having completed her BA degree in Language and Literature through UNISA, only motivated her to turn her dreams of becoming an author into reality.
Maxzell, one of the twin daughters of Henri and Maxi Lerm a retired Mayoral couple of Bloemfontein, will host a meet and greet book signing in Graaff-Reinet at The Old Library on the corner of Somerset and Church Street from 11am to 12.30pm on June 8.
All Graaff-Reinetters are welcome to attend and enjoy the tea, coffee and snacks available.
Maxzell says: “Born and raised in South Africa I was thrilled when Melange Books in the United States accepted my fantasy trilogy. Nervhada: Unveiling Secrets is predominately marketed for young adults, but this would appeal to any fan of Harry Potter, Twilight and Avatar."
Limited printed books will be available at R150 each at the book signing.
