MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A Park Primary School learner won gold at a holiday tennis clinic and mini tournament held in Mossel Bay during the Easter school holiday.
Every school holiday, local tennis coach Katie Müller holds this clinic and mini tournament.
This year there were tennis players from Mossel Bay and surrounds, from Oudtshoorn and from the Cape at the clinic. Children holidaying in Mossel Bay take part.
Park Primary School
Nevaeh Fransman, in Grade 7 at Park Primary School, won gold.
A Cape Town boy, Christiaan Fourie, won the boys' section of the competition.
The tennis clinic and competition took place on 25 and 26 March at the Mossel Bay Tennis Club courts at Harry Giddey Park in the town centre.
Müller and her two daughters, Margaretha Swanepoel and Katie van Niekerk, are all South African Tennis Association (SATA) Level 4 professional coaches.
Müller's daughters assist her with coaching each time the clinic and competition are held.
