GRAAFF-REINET RUGBY NEWS - The Central Veterans rugby club travelled to Port Elizabeth to play against the PE Harlequins Legends Club on Friday, 26 October, at the Nelson Mandela University.
The game was a curtain-raiser for the Kings Pro 14 game against the Scarlets.
Harlequins Legends won the game with 32 points to Central's 26, but as seen by the score, it was a closely fought game, played with tremendous spirit by both sides.
It was Central Veterans' third game of the year and they have managed to win two games out of the three. The club is very excited to report that it will be hosting the Harlequins at their Easter Sports festival next year in Graaff-Reinet, as well as Evergreens Cradock old boys. The club's main focus next year will be to bring the South African Springbok Legends to Graaff-Reinet to play against the team at the Collie Koeberg Sports Complex, at a date to be confirmed.
