GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - On Saturday Union High had the pleasure of welcoming Gill College for a series of exhilarating hockey and rugby matches.
It was a day filled with intense competition, sportsmanship and camaraderie.
On the hockey field, Union's u.14A team faced Gill's second team, securing a 12 - 0 victory. The match between the two first teams saw Union emerging victorious with an 8 - 0 win.
The rugby matches were equally exciting. Union's u.16A team demonstrated their prowess with a commanding 24 - 3 win. The u.15A team followed suit with a hard-fought 29 - 17 victory.
While Union's second team narrowly lost 7 - 8, the u.14A team put up a strong fight but ultimately fell short with an 18 - 29 score.
The day culminated in a triumphant 17 - 8 win by Union's first team.
Union extends its heartfelt thanks to Gill College for joining them and making this fixture enjoyable and memorable.
The spirit of competition and mutual respect displayed by both schools, made this day extra special.
