GRAAFF-REINET BOWLING NEWS - Last Saturday afternoon, 2 February, twelve bowlers turned out for the monthly Spandau Spar Handicap competition at the Graaff-Reinet Bowling Club.
The sides were fairly evenly matched, but the rain interruption favoured the Hanie Jordaan / Thinus Ferreira combination.
At the end of play, they defeated their opponents by 11 shots, to claim the vouchers up for grabs.
Personal Trust Trips
This Saturday, 9 February, there will be a fun day of bowls, comprising of four 8-end games, with new teams being selected after each game. The bowlers will carry their individual scores with them after each game, to determine the overall winners.
Business League
The Mr Paint/Flashcor Printing Business League kicks off on Thursday, 14 February at 17:30 sharp. Corporates must enter their teams now, to avoid disappointment.
- The Midlands Mixed Pairs competition will be played in Middelburg, on 16 and 17 February.
- The club Drawn Pairs competition will be played on the greens of the Graaff-Reinet Bowling Club on 23 and 24 February.
