Cricket
An Indian Premier League-style five-week Business League started in Graaff-Reinet on 1 October. It will be played on Tuesdays and Thursdays over five weeks at Botanics Sports Grounds. Each game will be played over 14 overs per side with two matches to be played each night and with rules that encourage everyone to be on an equal footing.

The six teams are MS Construction Barbarians, The Renault Dusters, The Wicked Bears, The Tyremart Duelers, The Penny Farthing Razorbacks and The Toerboer Torpedos.

Mountain Drive parkrun
Saturday's parkrun saw 57 participants. sixteen were first-timers, and 10 broke personal records.

First-timer and MTN Athletics Club member Klaas Prinsloo was first (25:27) and Janré Fourie came second ( 26:05). Callista Prinsloo, also a first-timer, was third overall and first of the women with 29:43. Melissa Broodryk was second (31:08) and Lou-Anne Gerber third (32:54).
