GRAAFF-REINET SPORT NEWS - If you want to get a little active, but aren't sure whether you want to run or walk each week, why not get involved and volunteer for the weekly Mountain Drive parkrun?
Race Director Kim Spencer Primic says volunteering is an opportunity to get outside, make new friends, have fun, learn new skills and be a valuable part of your local community.
"None of our tasks are too stressful. You could be organising the finish funnel, operating the timer, scanning barcodes using the simple virtual volunteer app, taking photographs or handing out tokens.
"If your skillsets and interest run more to the admin side, we are looking for an Event Director (or two) who can liaise with head office, organise volunteers and manage the e-mails and correspondence.
"Mountain Drive runs a very streamlined parkrun but we require key roles to ensure we can keep this going each week for that smiling happy townsfolk who chose to challenge the 5km each week.
Please consider volunteering and contact us either on Facebook or e-mail on mountaindrive@parkrun.com.
Regular parkrunner Abel Ndamase finishes Saturday's parkrun in good spirits.
