ABERDEEN — Zileke de Jager of Aberdeen continues to excel in her chosen equestrian field of Saddle Horse events.
After a recent competition in Parys, in the Free State, Zileke was chosen for the senior Protea side to travel to the United States later this year in the 5-gaited event.
This is a wonderful achievement for this 17-year-old matric student at Hoër Volkskool in Graaff-Reinet.
Once again, she has also earned her junior Protea colours in the 3-gaited event. This team will be competing in Namibia later this year.
Zileke has only been riding her new horse, MC Victory, for a few months- her previous horse died suddenly only a couple of weeks after she had bought him.
Zileke is coached by former Springbok Enid Norton of Grahamstown, and she travels to Grahamstown every weekend for training.
