GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Last Thursday evening, 14 March the final round of the Mr Paint/Flashcor Printing sponsored Business League took place on the greens of the Graaff-Reinet Bowling Club.
After a tense battle between Spandau Spar and PG Glass, the scoreline read 10 - 10.
Spandau Spar was then declared as the winners of the competition.
The controlling body of the club would like to thank the sponsors on a job well done!
Handicap Pairs
Twenty bowlers turned out on Saturday afternoon for the Spandau Spar Handicap Pairs competition.
At the end of the day, Hansie Jordaan and his partner Dennis Rosslee took the vouchers up for grabs, after beating their opponents by 14 shots.
SA Inter-Districts
Four Midlands bowlers, namely Loraine van den Berg (Middelburg), Charlene and Niel Colyn and Arthur Langley took part in the SA Inter- Districts competition played in Gauteng.
After a week's intense bowling the Men's and Ladies' A-side claimed the Bronze Medal.
Well done guys!
The Eastern Province bowlers, which includes four Midlands bowlers, celebrate on winning the Bronze medal at the SA Inter-Districts tournament, played in Gauteng.

On 31 March, the John Bryant bowls touring group will play bowls at the Graaff-Reinet Bowling Club.
This is a yearly event and the tourists are 36 strong. This could mean that the club would have to look outside its membership to field enough players.
