GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The four-ball alliance played on the Graaff-Reinet golf course on Saturday 29 June was keenly contested with a pleasing number of entries.
Team Godwin Bosch, Hadley Fourie, Carlo Erasmus and Rowan George played well to score 91 points.
In second place with 83 points was Dave Luscombe, Wally Gentry, Frikkie Coetzee and Dan Yeadon, who narrowly beat Niek Steyn, Hubri Bruyn, Weppie Weiderman and Jacques Wagner on 82 points.
In the Kirber Cup competition, Johnny Ludick and his son Johndre beat Willie Claasen and Chris Koeberg.
The Gold Rush sponsored IPS competition, played on Wednesday, was won by Colin Warner on 35 points, with Jacques Wagner in second on 34 points, and Johan Olivier in third place with 30 points.
The monthly Medal Competition will be played this Saturday 6 July. The annual Bokke Dag on 20 July is a Better Ball format.
The field is filling up, so players are encouraged to enter. There will be a morning and afternoon field.
