SPORT NEWS - Swimmers of Destiny Swimming Academy participated in the third A-league gala at Newton swimming pool in Gqeberha on 23 September.
Mateo Schoeman had a clean sweep of seven first placement on the podium - ranked first in the country for his age group in most of his events.
“I am very happy with the results of each of my swimmers. There is still a lot of hard work that lies ahead. Our big focus is the NMBA Championship in December, and we are all working very hard towards that. We want to try and get more children to swim qualifying times for either level 2 or level 3," says JP Seyffert, Destiny coach.
The results are as follows:
- First placement podiums – 25
- Second placement podiums – 14
- Third placement podiums – 16

The fourth A-League Gala will be held on the 21 October at Newton Park Swimming Pool, in Gqeberha.
