GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Graaff-Reinet Tops@Spar Business League Bowls competition is on the roll.
Twenty-six teams are competing over five weeks every Thursday evening. The first play took place on 31 October, with a draw of cards to determine who will play against each other. The first round was a play-off with no points up for grabs, but a place on the board for the judges to get an idea which teams are the best to play against each other.
Points will be awarded from 7 November onward.
The following teams will battle it out:
- Toyota and Top Spinners,
- Pick n Pay 1 and BKB,
- Octofin and Nel Boerderdery,
- Huis Eybers and the Graaff-Reinet Advertiser,
- Camdeboo Spar and The Early Birds,
- Ford and Kens Radio,
- PG Glass and Midboard,
- Spandau Spar and Botha's Garage,
- Tyre Mart and Akademie 1,
- Hyundai and Laer Volkskool,
- Nommerpas and Rapportryers,
- Hoër Volkskool and Akademie 2,
- Automart and Pick n Pay 2.
Play starts at 5.30pm every Thursday.
The 10 most promising teams in the play-offs were Toyota, Top Spinners, Pick n Pay 1, BKB, Octofin, Nel Boerdery, Huis Eybers, Graaff-Reinet Advertiser, Camdeboo Spar and The Early Birds.
