NETBALL NEWS - Birds United organised a cancer awareness netball tournament on 14 October at Kroonvale.
Cancer survivor Samantha Graham-Maré, DA MP and Dr Beyers Naudé Constituency Leader, shared her life experience with the girls.
She advised them against engaging in sexual and drug activities, highlighting the risks of unsafe sex, such as teenage pregnancy and unplanned parenthood. The programme featured various speakers discussing cancer awareness.
Netball on the day primarily revolved around recreational play and having fun. Because there were no officials, proper scoring could not be maintained, but in the final between Academy and Galaxy, Academy emerged as the unofficial winner.
